NEW MUSIC VIDEO FOR "LOVE"
Brooklyn rocker Aris debuts his new single & deluxe album "Love", with title track featuring Grammy Winning singer/songwriter Paula Cole.
Music blogger Evan Morgan writes "As the album opener "Love" pulses with all the energy and atmosphere that one can hope for as an introduction to an album. The E.D.M.-infused melodies meld with brimming bass lines and driving drums to power the track. Paula Cole lends backing vocals, which - along with the already existing elements firing on all cylinders - give the track that extra something to truly take it over the top. "Love" is a sonic treat ."
NEW REMIX OF "LOVE" FEATURING PAULA COLE
The Mission Groove Remix of "Love" featuring Paula Cole is now available on digital distributors and streaming platforms.
Now available through digital distributors, the deluxe album "Love" is lead by the first single and title track "Love" ft. Grammy Winner Paula Cole.

Entertainment columnist Michael Cook writes... "The package, a combination of dance-inflused bangers and soaring ballads is an absolute home run. Choosing diverse accompaniments and utilizing daring sounds makes Aris' music stand out on its own. "Reborn" puts Aris' growling vocals onto a soaring track of renewal, while "All For Love" is an 80's inspired low key romantic anthem.
"Rain" harkens back to the sounds of The Romantics of decades ago, while "Handle It" is a bit of a Carribean styled departure for Aris', but like most vacations, this one is most welcome! One of the best parts of this package is the fact that he has chosen to take some of the tracks and remix them on the Deluxe version of the album. The "Pierre Parnis Club Mix" of "Reborn" is the perfect kind of rock/house fusion, while "Run To You" gets a precussion heavy mix courtesy of the "E39 Sunrise Remix".
One of the crowining acheivements musically (and I'm sure personally) on the package is hearing the familiar and lush vocals of Paula Cole on "Love". Hearing her amazing vocals frames the track perfectly, and the almost heavenly qualities that her vocals contribute match Aris' grounded vocals perfectly."
Brooklyn rocker Aris debuts his new single "Love" featuring Grammy Winning singer/songwriter Paula Cole. The tracks blends elements dance music and rock, with pulsating bass, rhythm guitars and orchestral strings. It's a love song with an edge, brimming with sultry vocals, a sleek melody and gritty overtones. Now available through digital distributors, "Love" is the first single and title track of Aris' new deluxe album "Love" (arriving February 22nd).

This is the second time Aris and Paula Cole have teamed up. Several years ago, Aris joined Paula Cole live to duet on her 1999 hit "I Believe In Love". It was that experience that inspired the new single "Love". Collaborating with Paula Cole has been a long held dream come true for Aris, who has bee heavily influenced by Paula Cole from his teenage years onward. The release of "Love" dawns near the 20th anniversary of Paula's "I Believe In Love" (from her sophmore album "Amen".)

HUFFPOST PREMIERE OF NEW MUSIC VIDEO
"Singer/songwriter Aris premieres the video for his new single "The Music" from the album "Pulse" which as an album, has taken on a whole new meaningful and emotional tone. The track stays consistent with the hauntingly ethereal vibe that makes Aris' music so unique, with Aris' raw and yearning vocals pairing wonderfully with the throbbing beats throughout the track. The video keeps that rawness, showing some gritty street shots countered with shots of Aris performing live ... unique and sublimely in touch artist." - Michael Cook, Huffington Post Entertainment

"Originally slated for release not long before the #Pulse nightclub tragedy occurred in Orlando, out of respect for the victims and all those that suffered, Aris halted promotions for "Pulse." And, while it may not have been the original intent, the album itself (while standing on its own) acts as a beacon of hope and a reminder that there is life and love to be had even in the aftermath of such devastation.
As the album opener "Love" pulses with all the energy and atmosphere that one can hope for as an introduction to an album. The E.D.M.-infused melodies meld with brimming bass lines and driving drums to power the track. Paula Cole lends backing vocals, which , along with the already existing elements firing on all cylinders, give the track that extra something to truly take it over the top. "Love" is a sonic treat that will leave listeners everywhere eager to express their gratitude.
"Reborn" is radio-ready right out of the gate, with infectious bass lines, shimmering lead guitar licks, and atmosphere in abundance. The powerful chorus is addictive, and will have listeners singing along. The replay button will be worn out by the time listeners get their fill of this track, and they will feel reborn each and every time they hit play. Aris' vocals really shine, and the energy and conviction in his delivery make all the difference.
"Take Me If You Want Me" is the first thing resembling a ballad on the album. The soothing acoustics lull the listener into a kind of slumber before the energy picks up yet again. Even for a track that is a seemingly slower tempo, the music doesn't let up and that is a beautiful thing. The production quality is utterly exquisite, with seamless transitions throughout.
With a new video released this week, "The Music" is as poignant as it is powerful. As with most tracks on the album, "The Music" is catchy, rhythmically infectious, and deliciously decadent all at once. Speaking with the Huffington Post about the single, Aris added, "The new single "The Music" is inspired by 90's house. The song is an anthem of empowerment and freedom"
The rest of the tracks on "Pulse" are a celebration of life, and the hearts that beat within us all. The vibration and the energy burst forth with every vocal line and melody, pulsating with purpose, and breathing life into every beat."
"... truly a tour de force for all those wonderful talents Aris has: his unique vision, his beautiful voice, his stage presence, his grittiness, and his storytelling. Aris is and will be for a while, one of the most talented and respected artists out there. "
"...Love everything about this one! Artist Aris volunteers that his song and the music video for "The Music" is meant to channel Madonna and George Michael. I can't speak to the George influences (well, there's that facial hair and that leather jacket), but I do see/hear some Madonna-ness, and the song/video are great regardless . It isn't a knock-off by any stretch, but I also hear some "Sending All My Love" by Linear and as for Madonna music-video references, I'd say "Burning Up," "Papa Don't Preach" and "Hung Up"
"Aris makes the music easy to feel in his new single "The Music." The track delivers a message of empowerment and freedom, taking influence from 90's house. The soulful anthem evokes classic Madonna and George Michael while sounding decisively modern.
The video is a love letter to New York, featuring the city as a backdrop to a night of celebration. As the sequence unfolds, the viewer is left with a feeling more of sitting next to the artist than watching an elaborate production from afar. Co-Directed by Aris and Elijah McCready, "The Music" is the second single from Aris' third full length album "Pulse" , which was successfully crowdfunded via Kickstarter, and includes a collaboration with Grammy winner Paula Cole on the album's thumping opening track "Love "

REBORN MAXI SINGLE NOW AVAILABLE
Released July 28th 2016 exclusively on aris.fm. With remixes by Pierre Parnis, Peter Tanico and DJ Dancehaus.
Reborn "isn't just an all-out, face-to-the-floor adrenaline boost, there's a seductive element to the track that gives it another dimension. "Reborn" perfectly balances the up-beat with the laid-back, chill vibe. It's this duality that really shines through above all: not quite EDM, not quite Pop, and not quite Rock, but a perfect blend of all of these styles coming together to create something new entirely." writes Evan Morgan of Poet & Pariah. The new single "hits you in all the right spots" notes Phil King of Audiofuzz.
A like: Alien Who, living or dead, do you think could be an alien and why?!
B like: Bullied Have you been bullied at school, or have you been the popular one?
I was bullied intensely in grade school and high school. It affected my attendance but it also pushed me more towards the arts and creativity. I think the real blessing is when being different ends up making you special. I'm not sure if I've ever been the popular one, but I know I'm loved.
C like: Charity .. are you involved in any charity projects?
I'm really passionate about feeding and rehabilitating the homeless. I work a lot with Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen, which is the largest food program in NYC. They serve around 1500 meals a day all year long. I featured the Soup Kitchen in my music video "Pray for Change" from my last album "Twilight Revival", and all proceeds from that single go to the Soup Kitchen. I think it touches me so much because it's a universal problem that you can understand no matter where you're from or what you believe in. And it's a problem that can be helped with just a little kindness, food and faith.
My heart is also very touched by the recent tragedy in Orlando. I'm donating all proceeds from the sale of my song "Pulse" to the families of the victims. It's a song about celebrating life through hardship, loving yourself and living for the moment. The song is available at http://smarturl.it/aris
D like: Desirable Who is the most desirable man/woman for you?
Most desirable man: Jared Leto. He's beautiful, multi-talented and interesting. He lives his life with a lot of passion and conviction
Most desirable woman: Rhianna. Gorgeous, bold, fierce, sweet, her own powerhouse, and she doesn't give a f*ck what anybody thinks about her...
Cover of the Month for June 2016, India Arie's gorgeous ballad "Ready for Love".
PULSE ALBUM REVIEW
"I listen to very few albums all the way through without pushing past a few songs, even from my favorite mainstream artists so when I can thrown on one album and listen all the way through that is saying a lot. Pulse is definitely a collection of songs that is good for a long car ride, a hike, a workout, or just while you are cleaning and cooking.
The first song, Love (Thank you) features artist Paula Cole. It remind me immediately of Donna Summer's hit I Feel Love with its sexy, breathy repetition and underlying sexy rhythm. Rain is a storm of emotion, desire, passion, and pain. I've said I felt like he was in my diary at some point, especially when I hear this one. It just feels that personal and I think it will to many people.
Speaking of Donna Summer, the title track has a sample of I Feel Love and I can actually hear Donna performing this one with approval. Handle It is definitely for anyone who has been wronged by a lover or just not appreciated for who they are. To me, it sounds like a dare to handle me in all my fabulousness if you think you can. But if you can't, well the hell with you. It is reminiscent of a Beyonce empowerment piece. Basically, take me for what I am or everything you own will be in a box to the left.
Next, I want to talk about the Reborn remix. I do enjoy a good remix, especially when it is different version of the song that brings a new way to enjoy it. This remix does that for me by giving it a new beat. Make sure you check it all out for yourself at Aris' website and follow him on social media because you are also going to want to check out his covers."
Prayers for Orlando
Almost a week later and I'm finally able to speak. This tragedy has affected me in many ways and I know many people who've lost loved ones. It is an unfortunate coincidence that my new album happens to share the name of the club where this tragedy took place. When everything unfolded, I had to ask myself "How do I move forward? Do I shelve the album?" and then I realized that essentially that would be caving to fear and terror.
Instead I'm dedicating the title track "Pulse" to the victims and the families in Orlando, and donating all proceeds of the song. It's an anthem about triumph through hardship, loving yourself and eachother, and celebrating life.
My album "Pulse" is an album inspired by love, which I hoped would inspire people to be themselves and celebrate their lives. Perhaps it is serendipity, in a way, that now I can dedicate this music to those who have left us too soon, and to those of us that are still here fighting this fight for love, for equality, for humanity. I will stand tall, I will be fearless, I will take every moment along this journey to use this platform to honor those we've lost, and to project a beacon of hope and light for those of us who remain huddled together in these dark days. I will love unconditionally. I will not fear judgement. I will announce from the roof tops that I am proud of who I am, and who I love. I hope and pray all of us can turn this nightmare into a movement of solidarity, of unity, of change.
My heart is with all of you who have lost someone, or know someone who has. All we can do is celebrate life. All we have is this moment. Cherish it. Cherish those around you. Put love above all else. And if you need an ear, a hand, a hug, don't isolate yourself. Reach out! Let's make sure our community becomes more and more tightly knit.
NEW REBORN REMIX
The Dancehaus Remix of "Reborn" from the new album "Pulse"
NEW ALBUM NOW AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE
"Pulse" is now available on iTunes and other digital retailers worldwide. The 14 track collection includes a collaboration with Grammy winner Paula Cole. The album blends it's core of dance with rock, soul and world sounds. The album is "a storm of emotion, desire, passion", writes entertainment blogger Tommy Geraci. The album was successfully crowdfunded via Kickstarter.
The lead single "isn't just an all-out, face-to-the-floor adrenaline boost, there's a seductive element to the track that gives it another dimension.
"I always have music on while working and one evening I realized that I had put Paula Cole's "I Believe In Love" on loop as I was writing. I took a break and hit up YouTube to find a live performance of the song. I found a duet of it done with Aris that completely blew me away. Click the video and listen for the first minute and you'll get exactly what I mean.
His voice is magic and so naturally I needed to learn more. While flipping through Aris' other work I came to realize that behind the amazing voice was likely a pretty soulful man, one that seemed deeply connected to the life around him. I also kept an eye on his Kickstarter campaign and watched as it eventually resulted in the completion of Aris' forthcoming album, Pulse.
Aris released his first single, "Reborn" off the project a few weeks ago and it was time for me to request an interview with him. What I quickly learned was that, while my initial instincts and "read" were pretty spot on, Aris is even more incredible one-on-one. Women have played a major role in helping to shape not only his career, but also in Aris' life path. He was raised in NYC by his belly dancer mother, whose mantra was, "If you don't take chances in life you'll regret it. "
"My mother has passed, but I hear those words every time I have doubt. It helps to steady me and ultimately has helped me to be more fearless in my life." explained Aris during our recent chat. Another woman who has influenced him greatly has been Paula Cole. His appearance with her nearly two years ago was hardly a fluke. As it turns out, Cole's groundbreaking 1996 release, This Fire was a favorite of his mother's and it was also that body of work that made Aris decide to pursue his own musical dreams.
A love of poetry as a teen eventually helped when it came time for Aris to really get in touch with who he wanted to be musically. While nearly every track that he has released up to this point has an underlying dance beat, Aris is quick to not only see the color and texture of different musical styles, but also integrate them into his own tracks. He doesn't see the boundaries between different musical genres. Everything in life alternates between light and dark and if you listen closely you'll also pick up on this in Aris' songs.
"Fallen Blind" is a personal favorite of mine and the video provides proof of just how fearless Aris is in his visual choices. The NSFW clip may make some squirm, as it also depicts a lack of boundaries separating men and women, or more importantly, love itself. At root, if we're being honest then when stripped down we're all very similar. The feelings, fears and fantasies are somewhat alike but not everyone is comfortable enough to admit it.
Pulse is actually Aris' third full length album and it is scheduled for a mid-November release. "Reborn", the aforementioned first single is now available on iTunes and will have a video to accompany it in early October. There will also be two new remixes released. Aris is really hoping that Pulse will take people on a 15-track musical journey that ultimately lifts them. He likens the beats of music to a pulse and for this project, that pulse will include everything from 90's house music, rock, soul and even authentic tribal beats.
Aris' collaborating with Paula Cole wasn't a time only thing either. He actually has a new song with her on Pulse called, "Love (Thank You)" that will ultimately be released as a single in the near future. Throughout our conversation, Aris expressed his gratitude towards those that have helped to support his dreams and inspired him to have the confidence to continue on his path. He hopes that his music will ultimately light a fire beneath others. "I really hope that the people that listen to my music are inspired to never stop fighting or reaching for their own dreams."
I'd strongly suggest that you all keep a really close eye on Aris Ziagos, because his star is clearly on the rise. Look for him out on the road later this winter as well. After releasing Pulse the buzz-worthy artist can't wait to start playing his new tracks live across the U.S."
"With driving beats, assorted electronic elements, and an infectious groove at its core, "Reborn" is an up-beat track that instantly pulls you in. From the slick bass and scattered licks in the verses, to the powerful chorus, they'll have listeners feeling renewed, rejuvenated, and revived.
That said, "Reborn" isn't just an all-out, face-to-the-floor adrenaline boost, there's a seductive element to the track that gives it another dimension. "Reborn" perfectly balances the up-beat with the laid-back, chill vibe. It's this duality that really shines through above all: not quite EDM, not quite Pop, and not quite Rock, but a perfect blend of all of these styles coming together to create something new entirely."
The new single "Reborn" by Brooklyn native Aris straddles the lines of rock, pop and electronics with a thumping stomp-clap-kick groove, lush live strings, layered harmonies and soaring hooks. The lead single from Aris' upcoming album "Pulse" is now available to purchase on iTunes and to stream on Soundcloud, with remixes forthcoming. The successfully Kickstarted album "Pulse", his third full length LP, will be released in the Spring of 2016. The album delivers a hearty 15 track collection of dance, rock, soul and world sounds, and features a collaboration with Grammy winner Paula Cole.
Aris and his music have been featured in fashion campaigns for Project Runway winner Irina Shabayeva and on dance floors at venues such as the legendary Webster Hall, the Bitter End, Santos Party House. Jim Fusilli of The Wall Street Journal describes Aris' music as "rock with big lyrical themes" and offers comparisons to singer Peter Gabriel. While Aris has also drawn comparisons to Kurt Cobain, Chris Cornell and Seal, his sound is definitely unique. Aris "combines a punk sensibility with electronic dance to create a unique grunge house sound all his own" writes Nashville's "Inside OUT"
"Aris does it again. He is probably one of the most prolific artists out there, and everything he does, is absolutely fabulous. Aris' song, "Reborn" just hits you in all the right spots. Describing Aris' music is like telling the blind about the sunset; you have to hear him to appreciate him. "
Aris has successfully funded his new album "Pulse" via Kickstarter. This will be Aris' third full length album. He'll be heading back into the recording studio this Spring to finalizing his works. A lead single release is expected Summer 2015, with the full release of "Pulse" coming in the Spring of 2016.
Aris is nominated in 5 categories at the 9th Annual OUTmusic Awards, including Best Rock Song (for "Hallelujah"), Best Alternative Song (for "Fallen Blind"), Best Inspirational Song (for "Pray for Change"), Producer of the year (for "Deaf Dumb & Blind") and Best Spoken Word Live Performance (for his duet with Paula Cole). The 9th OUTmusic Awards presented by Lexus and DonnaJean Media Group will take place at the historical Town Hall Theater in New York City on Monday, January 19, 2015. The event will be hosted by Lea DeLaria (from "Orange Is The New Black") and recording artist Ari Gold.

BEHIND THE MUSIC OF TWILIGHT REVIVAL
This short film narrated by Aris takes a behind the scenes look at his music, the inspiration behind his songs, live performance clips (including a cover of P!nk's "Crystal Ball", a cover of The Lumineers "Ho Hey" and a special duet of "I Believe in Love" with Paula Cole) and more. "FALLEN BLIND" MUSIC VIDEO PREMIERE
Sometimes you have to lose yourself to find yourself. The song "Fallen Blind" is about how even the wrong love can bring you closer to the light. The video builds on this theme while exploring the counterbalance between lust and love, light and dark, and sexual identity. Bathed in hues of red and blue, the video unfolds like a fantasizing mind, flashing erotic imagery and emotion, juxtaposed with spiritual symbolism and self-reflection. The Not-Safe-For-Work music video is the latest release from Aris' 2013 album "Twilight Revival"
"Fallen Blind" is available on the deluxe edition of "Twilight Revival", at digital retailers worldwide: http://smarturl.it/aris
While the lead single "Twilight" from Aris' album "Twilight Revival" continues to generate buzz worldwide with its infectious beats, gritty vocals and call-to-the dance-floor party vibe, Aris is ready to show a softer side of himself with "Light to Dark". Inspired by love and loss, the track follows step with syncopated electronic beats & synths like its predecessor, while exposing a new layer of vulnerability in its emotionally raw vocals and video. The acoustic version of the video further penetrates the heart.
Aris confesses "I wrote this song after a breakup with a recent long term relationship, someone I thought I'd spend the rest of my life with. When we were together things felt right. Everything seemed brighter. When it was over, I felt like I was left behind in the dark. It took a long time for me to be able to let the light in again, and this song was one of the special bi-products of that time. For the video, we wanted to find the beauty in the truth of the emotions and the tears."
A new version of the Twilight music video has been released to accompany the single.
TWILIGHT REVIVAL REVIEW ON POPCULTUREZ.COM
"...Vocally, Aris' voice has the same sort of gravelly cadence that Bryan Adams has seen take him to worldwide acclaim, while the lyrics shift from positive party-ready messages to bleaker moments, like on the somber plea of, 'Fallen Blind.' The moods are reflected in the production as Aris shows a whole range of emotion on this strongly produced 54-minute selection.
Where he spreads into other areas, Aris' music is definitely rooted in a pop / rock tradition, and so will appeal to fans of names like the afore-mentioned, Peter Gabriel and even a more-experimental U2. Sometimes real quality can rise from the most unexpected of places, and Aris' "Twilight Revival" manages to do just that."
ARIS TEAMS UP WITH THE LARGEST FOOD PROGRAM IN NYC
Aris has once again partered with The Holy Apostles Soup Kitchen to raise funds for hungry New Yorkers this holiday season. Aris featured the Soup Kitchen in his video for "Pray for Change" .

Aris' new album and recent performance with Paula Cole received a great in-depth article on popmatters.com...
"Brooklyn Musician Aris Goes to Church with Paula Cole"
Brooklyn native singer-songwriter Aris has just released the deluxe edition of Twilight Revival, an album that blends alternative rock, electronic & pop genres. From the thumping opener 'Twilight' to the campfire-folk closing track 'Revival' to the diverse bonus tracks included on the digital release, Aris' self-produced album is rooted in dynamic instrumentation, and exploration of vocal styles.
Drawn to poetry, Aris gravitated towards emotional music by singer-songwriters who bared their souls through musical expression such as Paula Cole and Chris Cornell, whose confessional works continue to influence him. Recently he performed a duet with Grammy winner Paula Cole to a packed house and standing ovation.
From as early as age three, the Brooklyn native can remember being influenced by the city's melting pot of musical sounds, and as the son of an Irish belly-dancing mother and a Greek immigrant father his musical worldview was influenced by the diversity shared by his family and hometown. Newfound perspectives gained through life changing events experienced during the death of his mother during Hurricane Sandy can be found within this refined collection of songs.
The album's tracks have been honed to reflect both a journey of inner transformation and healing as well as exposing the cracks in the government and institutional response to the disaster. This is a life-altering period Aris hopes to further explore and illuminate in a documentary that would use the story of his mother as a lens to tell a larger story about the failure of local and national systems to manage emergency disaster relief..."
Aris joined Grammy Award winning singer/songwriter Paula Cole on stage in Chatham New Jersey on Saturday September 7th to perform a duet of her 1999 hit single "I Believe In Love". They dedicated the song as a touching tribute to his mother Ginny.
